MEET OUR MEMBERS
Kathryn McDowell, Director, LSO: The RPS has been a meeting point for musicians, composers and audiences for 200 years and remains a passionate advocate for music today.
DID YOU KNOW?
From 1819 the Society’s home was the Harmonic Institution built by John Nash in Regents Street. The building was destroyed by fire in 1830 and is now the site of a NatWest Bank.
The creativity of living composers lies at the heart of the RPS. We support new music through commissioning and repeat performances, workshops, residency schemes and by encouraging interaction between composers and audiences.
adj. devoted to music; music-loving
