"Aural brilliance" - Julian Anderson's 'Incantesimi'

13 Jun 2016

"The work has all the aural brilliance of a concerto for orchestra and gives an impression of grandeur despite its short duration – around eight minutes. The Philharmonie’s acoustic made every detail sing out."
- Fiona Maddocks, The Guardian

Julian Anderson's Incantesimi, a new orchestral work co-commissioned by the Royal Philharmonic Society, Berliner Philharmoniker Foundation and Boston Symphony Orchestra, received its world premiere in Berlin on 8 June performed by the Boston Philharmoniker under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle.
