Current Recipients

There were two winners of the 2015 RPS Julius Isserlis Scholarship. £10,000 was awarded to violinist Kristīne Balanas, while trumpeter Imogen Hancock received £5,000. Both will be pursuing studies in Germany.

Imogen Hancock - trumpet

Surrey-born Imogen began playing the trumpet aged 7, following an early fascination with the instrument. From the age of 14, she held the position of 1st trumpet in the Thames Youth Orchestra and in 2011 the orchestra commissioned composer Stephen Dodgson to write a concerto for her.
