2013: Learning and Participation

Announced 13 May 2014
sponsored by the ABRSM, the exam board for the Royal Schools of Music

Imago (Glyndebourne)

Imago is a striking, ambitious community opera with a score by Orlando Gough and libretto by Stephen Plaice. Commissioned by Glyndebourne and Scottish Opera, Imago addresses contemporary issues such as ageing, and living in a digital world and is driven by galvanising, adventurous music. It was spectacularly staged by director Susannah Waters and performers of all ages and experience were deeply drawn into the creative process. A project that strived for and achieved artistic, educational and technical excellence.
