Matilda Lloyd – trumpet
‘Feel the sunshine emanating from everything Matilda Lloyd does. This year, the tireless trumpeter brought her bright musicianship to concertos and recitals nationwide, and two beautiful albums with the London Symphony Orchestra and Gesualdo Six. Equally brilliant is her zeal to get young people making music. This year, she tutored the junior recruits of Amersham Brass Band, and became Europe’s youngest female brass professor, at Trinity Laban.'
