2015 RPS Emily Anderson Prize winner
Born in Poland, Marta began her violin studies at the age of 7. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours from the Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in 2012 in the class of Professor Jan Stanienda. Currently Marta is studying a Master of Arts at the Royal Academy of Music with a legendary violinist Professor György Pauk.
In 2008 Marta won the Eurovision Young Musicians and represented her country at the final event in Vienna. During her studies in Warsaw she was awarded the Sinfonia Varsovia Scholarship, Special Achievement Award from Principals of all Polish Music Academies and the “Young Poland” Prize managed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
Marta is also a laureate of numerous prizes at international competitions, including 1st Prize and the Special Award for the Best Artistic Personality at the International Violin Competition in Bled, Slovenia, 1st Prize at the International Violin Competition in Belgrade, 3rd Prize at the International Johannes Brahms Competition in Pörtschach, Austria, and recently The Special Prize at The China International Violin Competition in Qingdao.
Future appearances include recitals at Purcell Room, St Martin-in-the-Fields, St James’s Piccadilly, concerts in Switzerland, Holland, Germany and Poland. In 2016 Marta is having her debuts at Wigmore Hall and Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
