Chamber Groups - Application Form

Please make sure you have read the guidelines before applying below, and select the prize(s) you wish to apply for:

Frost Prize

  • You are a string trio or quartet (together with the possibility of a piano)
  • The maximum age of all players is no more than 28 at the application closing date
  • All ensemble players are of British Nationality OR you have only one non-British player in your ensemble
  • All players are based in the UK for 2018/19 season; or if one is from outside the EU, he/she has the necessary visa(s) to enable them to perform regularly in the UK

Henderson Award

  • You are a chamber ensemble of 3 - 10 performers (any combination)
  • The maximum age of all players is no more than 28 at the application closing date
  • All players are based in the UK for 2018/19 season, and any players from outside the EU have the necessary visas to enable them to perform regularly in the UK
  • The ensemble must have been formed for a minimum of 2 years.
For Henderson Prize applications, ensembles must have been playing together for at least two years.

References

Written references from two musicians of standing who are prepared to endorse your application must be sent by the referee to admin@philharmonicsociety.uk by the application deadline.

These references must relate to this 2019 Prize and arrive no later than 12pm Monday 19 August. Your application will only be considered upon receipt of up to date references.
