Annabel Chadwick is a first year Clarinettist studying with Sally Harrop and Douglas Mitchell at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

Annabel grew up on the South Coast, taking up the clarinet at the age of 7. She went on to join the Gosport and Fareham Youth Orchestra at the age of 8, and then later the Hampshire County Youth Orchestra. During her time in these ensembles, Annabel joined them on several tours in Europe, as well as performing at the Royal Albert Hall with Hampshire Music. She also performed at the Portsmouth Music Festival, obtaining an 'Outstanding' result for her solo recital and winning the Zurich Cup for ‘Best in Section Performance – Woodwind’. Since joining the conservatoire she has enjoyed stretching her skills and enjoyed the opportunities available. Annabel is excited to continue her studies and is very thankful for the grant from the Royal Philharmonic Society.
