RPS Instrument Purchase Grant 2023 | £600 towards a violin bow

Isaac is an 18-year-old violinist from Gloucestershire. He started learning the violin at the age of six, taught by local teachers in the county and has been actively involved in the musical life of Gloucestershire, playing in the county youth orchestras and more recently appearing as a soloist with local orchestras. Isaac was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain in 2022, with a seat in the 1st violin section. He won both the jury prize and audience vote at the 2023 Gloucestershire Young Musician competition and has recently given recitals at the Cheltenham Music Festival and for various other festivals and societies around Gloucestershire. He was awarded a scholarship for Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance where he has been studying with Carducci Quartet's 1st Violinist Matthew Denton since September 2022. Isaac has just finished an eventful first year, in which he has played in masterclasses with acclaimed artists Jennifer Pike and Tasmin Little, as well as leading orchestral projects.
