Jasmin Earle

RPS Instrument Purchase Grant 2023 | £800 towards a violin bow

Violinist Jasmin Earle is a second year undergraduate studying with Elenid Owen at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Jasmin is from Norfolk, and began playing the Violin at the age of 5. Before her time at RWCMD, Jasmin took advantage of the little number of musical opportunities available in Great Yarmouth. She enjoyed playing in multiple small youth orchestras and performing in various concerts during her time at East Norfolk Sixth Form College. She has also had the pleasure of performing at multiple weddings around Norfolk and Suffolk. Jasmin is increasingly proud of her position at RWCMD and regards this as one of her most profound achievements, amongst gaining a Distinction at Grade 8. She is thoroughly enjoying her studies and positively overwhelmed by the wide range of opportunities provided at RWCMD.

She currently receives an annual scholarship to support her studies, and enjoys collaborating with her fellow peers in different ensembles and exploring different styles of Music, such as Welsh Folk.

Jasmin is incredibly grateful for the support from the RPS, as it will assist her in purchasing a bow of sufficient quality for her studies and the beginning of her professional career.
