Flautist Katie Jordan is going into her second year of her undergraduate degree in Music Performance at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. She started in first year studying flute, however going into second year Katie is starting the multi-instrumental pathway where she’ll be studying Flute under Jonathan Rimmer, clarinet under Sally Harrop, saxophone under Anna Brooks and the whole art of doubling under Paul Saunders. Katie started learning the flute when she was 7 and took part in many different music groups inside and outside of school. Katie grew up in Cornwall and was a member of The Cornwall Youth Wind Orchestra from 2018-2022 playing first flute and piccolo. The interest in learning clarinet and saxophone came during her time at college where she grew a fond fascination for pit band work, and she would love to play in the orchestra for different musicals after she graduates.
