Laura Moisey-Gray

RPS Instrument Purchase Grant 2020 | £1,200 towards a viola

Laura Moisey-Gray is a 2nd year undergraduate, studying viola with Rivka Golani at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. She is a Trinity College London scholar, and has taken part in projects such as a side-by-side performance with members of the Philharmonia.

Laura also currently holds a choral scholarship as an alto with the Old Royal Naval College Trinity Laban Chapel Choir. She has sung in multiple evensong services aired on BBC radio, in the Old Royal Naval Collage Chapel under the direction of Ralph Allwood MBE. She previously held a choral scholarship as a treble at the All Saints Church, Leighton Buzzard for two years.

As a violist, prior to attending Trinity Laban, she was part of the Buckinghamshire County Youth Orchestra from 2015-2019, and toured Budapest, Reykjavik and Prague during this time. She also took part in the National Children’s Orchestra when she was 13, performing in venues such as the Royal Festival Hall.

Laura is very grateful for the support from RPS, as it will help her to buy a much better quality viola to help further her studies.
