RPS Isserlis Scholarship - Application Form

In spending time on your application, we advise you save your answers (particularly for the questions requiring longer answers) in a word document or equivalent on your computer in case of any technical glitch.

Use of Scholarship

Please provide as much clear detail as you can about your plans at this stage, including place of study, likely dates and teachers. At this stage, we appreciate your plans may change and scholarship winners may propose changes to this outline (subject to approval by the RPS). Please give an indication of the costs involved and where else you hope to get support to cover these beyond what the RPS can offer. Please attach any useful supporting information, such as a confirmation letter, budget, etc. below.

Written references from two musicians of standing (such as your music teachers) who are prepared to endorse your application must be sent by the referee to admin@philharmonicsociety.uk by the application closing date.

These references must relate to your application and arrive no later than Tuesday 16 February 2021. Your application will only be considered upon receipt of up-to-date references.

Please carefully read through your application and check you have filled in all fields correctly before submitting. When you click submit, a successful submission will take you to a page confirming this and you should also receive a confirmation email (you may need to check your spam folder for this email).

If the application form page refreshes after you click submit, this means you have incorrectly filled in a field. Please take time to go back and make sure you have filled in everything correctly. Common application form errors are:

  • you have other characters such as brackets, spaces or plus signs in the 'Phone Number' field. This should contain numbers only.
  • you have exceeded the character count in a longer question.
  • there is a compulsory check box which you have not ticked.
