The RPS is pleased to support and promote the Eric Thompson Trust which offers three different funding opportunities for organists. It was established in memory of Eric Thompson who dedicated his life and work to music and musicians.

ERIC THOMPSON TRUST GRANTS

Grants towards further studies, hire of instruments, travel and subsistence for auditions and engagements and other expenses incurred in the pursuit of an organist’s career. Open to aspiring professional organists. More information


ERIC THOMPSON TRUST ANNUAL AWARD

The chance to pursue one of a wide range of organ-related projects including study, performance, recording, research and composition. Open to musicians who are passionate about taking on a major project relating to the organ. More information


THE FLENTROP SCHOLARSHIP

A two-week visit to Zaandam in Holland including an introduction to the craft of organ building and tuning, as well lessons with distinguished Dutch organists. Open to full-time organ students based in the UK or Ireland who will be under 25 at the time of taking up the scholarship. More information
