The Eric Thompson Trust was established in memory of Eric Thompson, who dedicated his life and work to music and musicians.

What does the trust offer?

Grants towards further studies, hire of instruments, travel and subsistence for auditions and engagements and other expenses incurred in the pursuit of an organist’s career. Preference is given to students seeking assistance towards specific projects rather than continuing academic tuition, such as summer schools, special lessons in addition to normal studies, opportunities to play historic instruments in the context of further study and, in certain instances, travel costs for auditions. Grants are normally limited to a contribution towards such costs.

Who is it open to?

Aspiring professional organists.

When is the next closing date?

31 March and 31 October, annually.
