2018 RPS Instrument Purchase Grant | Oboe
Isabella is a 2nd year BMus scholarship student at the Royal Academy of Music studying with Melanie Ragge. She has played with the Royal Academy Symphony Orchestra and the RAM Manson Ensemble, and has participated in masterclasses with Jonathan Kelly, Edwin Roxburgh, Jonathan Small and Kai Froembgen. Previously she attended the RAM Junior Department studying with Jo Lively. She achieved her diploma in 2015 and in her final year won a concerto performance with the Royal Academy Sinfonia.
Isabella has played and worked with many ensembles around the UK including the Suffolk Youth Orchestra, the BBC Youth Proms Ensemble, New London Chamber Ensemble, National Youth Chamber Orchestra, the Royal Academy Symphony Orchestra and London’s All Souls Orchestra.
She was part of the Children’s Trust concert at Cadogan Hall in 2014 and performed a double oboe concerto the following year. She has also collaborated with Ensemble 360, Leafcutter John, Anton Lukoszevieze, Aldeburgh Young Musicians and Britten Sinfonia Academy.
Isabella is also an accomplished pianist and has achieved Grade 8 piano with distinction.
