Supporting Performers

We raise money in order to offer grants and opportunities to performers at key stages in their careers. Among these is a range of instrumental prizes, and our flagship RPS Women Conductors programme: the UK's foremost practical initiative positively addressing gender inequality on the conducting podium.

Nurturing Composers

The creativity of living composers sits at the heart of the RPS. We support new music through our renowned RPS Composers programme and a range of other initiatives, helping them bring exciting new music to the stage, following in the footsteps of the historic composers like Beethoven and Mendelssohn whom the Society supported.
