LeFanu: The Crimson Bird, RPS Elgar Bursary Commission

The BBC Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Ilan Volkov, gives the world premiere of Nicola LeFanu’s first large orchestral work in 30 years, The Crimson Bird, at the Barbican on February 17th. Composing The Crimson Bird was made possible by the award of the Royal Philharmonic Society Elgar Bursary.
