General Manager

A classical singer and guitarist, Robin Sheffield read music at the University of East Anglia, studying singing under Gareth Williams and as a choral scholar at St Peter Mancroft Church, and graduating in his degree with First-class honours in 2014.

Robin held internships at Schott Music and Spektrix in the Promotion and Marketing departments respectively, before joining the RPS team in 2015 as Administrative Assistant.

In 2016, he was promoted to the role of Artistic and Development Manager before being appointed the new role of General Manager in 2017.

In his free time, Robin sings with Coro, a London-based choir (for which he is also on the committee), enjoys eating, reading and forever torturing himself as an avid Liverpool FC fan. He is also a former member of the barbershop quartet The Final Chorus and is longing to form a new London-based group to satisfy his close-harmony needs. If you're interested, please get in touch!

Graham Sheffield, Director of Arts, British Council: Nobody could ever have invented the RPS. I love it for the support it gives to musicians, and for its commitment to an inspiring future for music.

1830: Midsummer Night’s Dream is ‘very beautiful, and encored, but it is awfully, fearfully difficult, so much so that last Saturday morning Mendelssohn was SEVEN hours rehearsing.’
