Getting to VOCES8 Centre
We are so pleased to host ‘A Field Guide to Vaughan Williams’ at the beautiful VOCES8 Centre. A gem for music-lovers to discover, the venue is a stunning renovation of the Church of St Anne and St Agnes, made over for 21st century musical life by renowned ensemble VOCES8.

Despite changes to planned rail strike action, we hope you can join us. Currently, buses, the Elizabeth Line and National Rail are all expected to be running as usual. Regular tube services are expected to be limited, but Transport for London has pledged to provide further updates, and we will update this page accordingly. VOCES8 Centre is a short walk from the Barbican and St Paul’s Cathedral. It is very close to stops on Bus routes 4, 8, 25, 46, 56, 76, 100 and 521. If tube services are limited, here are the easiest ways to reach the venue via buses and a short walk from key mainline stations:
Farringdon (Elizabeth Line / mainline): Walk 6 minutes from the Elizabeth Line exit, or 11 minutes from the Cowcross Street exit. If the Elizabeth line is running, you can also take the Elizabeth line to Liverpool Street and follow the directions from there given below.
Blackfriars: Board the 4 bus from Blackfriars Station (stop A), ride 3 stops to St Paul’s Station, walk 2 minutes to VOCES8 Centre. (13 minutes by bus or a 14-minute walk)
Cannon Street: Board the 521 bus from Cannon Street Station (stop MA), ride 2 stops to St Paul’s Station, walk 2 minutes to VOCES8 Centre. (11 minutes by bus or an 11-minute walk)
City Thameslink: Board the 8 or 25 bus from City Thameslink Station (stop HL), ride 2 stops to St Paul’s Station, walk 2 minutes to VOCES8 Centre. (11 minutes by bus or a 10-minute walk)
Euston: Board the 205 bus from Euston Station (Stop D), ride 7 stops to Angel Islington City Road. Change here to the route 4 or 56 from stop H. Ride 8 stops to Museum of London. Walk 4 minutes to VOCES8 Centre.
Fenchurch Street: Walk 4 minutes to Tower Gateway Station (stop TC), board the 100 bus, ride 7 stops to St Paul’s Station, walk 2 minutes to VOCES8 Centre. (18 minutes by bus)
Liverpool Street: Walk 6 minutes to Moorgate Station (stop L), board the 76 bus, ride 2 stops to St Paul’s Station, walk 2 minutes to VOCES8 Centre. (12 minutes by bus or a 15-minute walk)
London Bridge: Board the 521 bus from London Bridge Station (stop B), ride 4 stops to St Paul’s Station, walk 2 minutes to VOCES8 Centre. (12 minutes by bus)
Kings Cross St Pancras: Board the 46 bus from Kings Cross Station (stop D), ride 10 stops to St Bartholomew’s Hospital, walk 7 minutes to VOCES8 Centre.
Moorgate: Walk 3 minutes to Moorgate Station (stop N), board the 76 or 100 bus, ride 2 stops to St Paul’s Station, walk 2 minutes to VOCES8 Centre. (5 minutes by bus or a 10-minute walk)
Paddington: Board the 205 bus from Paddington Station (stop H), ride 18 stops to Angel Islington / City Road (stop H). Change here to the route 4 or 56 (still from stop H), ride 8 stops to Museum of London. Walk 4 minutes to VOCES8 Centre.
Victoria: Board the 11 bus from Victoria Station / Grosvenor Gardens (stop S), ride 14 stops to St Paul’s Cathedral, walk 6 minutes to VOCES8 Centre.
Waterloo: Board the 521 bus from Waterloo Station / Tenison Way (stop H), ride 9 stops to King Edward Street, walk 4 minutes to VOCES8 Centre.
In addition, most rail stations have taxi ranks outside, and it should be a fairly short drive from most of those listed above.
