Music in Nineteenth-Century Britain

24 - 27 June 2013: The ninth biennial international conference on Music in Nineteenth-Century Britain will be held this year at Cardiff University's School of Music and will feature several papers on the Royal Philharmonic Society in the 1800's. Keynote speakers at this conference will be Professor Simon Goldhill (Director, Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities, Cambridge University) and Dr Leanne Langley (Associate Fellow, Institute for Musical Research, University of London). The conference will also feature a recital of nineteenth and early twentieth-century British piano music by Professor Kenneth Hamilton (Cardiff University).
