The Philharmonia’s innovative Music of Today series offers the chance to hear new music. The culminating concert of the Philharmonia Orchestra's Young Composers Academy, in partnership with the Royal Philharmonic Society. Over the course of the year three young composers have worked closely with Philharmonia Orchestra musicians, visiting composers and Unsuk Chin. An exciting opportunity to encounter the wide range of musical styles amongst the newest generations of composers today in the UK. All three pieces in the programme are resulting commissions from the RPS Composition Prize 2014 Samuel Bordoli - As I Lay Dying Nicholas Stuart - Very Small Symphony Oliver Christophe Leith - Craquelure Patrick Bailey conductor Philharmonia OrchestraMusic of Today is supported by the Royal Philharmonic Society.
