Richard Benjafield, one of the UK's leading teachers and exponents of percussion, will lead a masterclass at Wellington College, before giving a short talk to Wellington's music society about African Percussion.
Richard Benjafield studied at the RNCM, Tanglewood Music Centre and the University of Ghana. He is currently the Head of Wind, Brass and Percussion at the Guildhall School of Music and is a regular performer with the leading London orchestras and ensembles.
The masterclass and talk will take place as part of Ensemble Philharmonic
- a partnership between the Royal Philharmonic Society and the Duet Group
which aims to help music teachers and their pupils find out more about the wide and varied world of classical music.
