‘For classical music, it's the Oscars, the BAFTAs and the Grammys all rolled into one' BBC Radio 3
We invite you to join us for the Royal Philharmonic Society Awards: a night of celebration with special guests, inspirational stories, and live music, giving you the chance to meet unsung heroes of classical music from across the UK and to rub shoulders with the stars.
We newly present the RPS Awards in a fresh and open format, with a vastly-reduced ticket price giving more music-lovers and music-makers the opportunity to get together and feel part of the festivities. Given the national story they tell, this year we are pleased to present the RPS Awards for the first time ever in Birmingham
A night of great fun and festivity awaits, with star guests and surprise musical acts, plus a complimentary interval drink for all attendees. Guests are invited to dress in ‘celebratory’ style. This year’s event is hosted by BBC Radio 3 presenters Jess Gillam and Tom McKinney.
Top price tickets are £30, with a number of seats at only £10 for those who book early – and this year every guest will receive a complimentary interval drink. The foyer bar will stay open late and, as ever, guests are invited to dress ‘celebratory’.
We would be so delighted for you to make the journey with us. Please share the date and talk to colleagues and friends about coming along together, to join us for what promises to be a very special, uplifting occasion for classical music.
This event will feature live BSL (British Sign Language) interpretation.
The event includes a 20 minute interval and is expected to end before 10pm.
Public booking opens on the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire website from Wednesday 30 October.
