Salomon Prize: Concert and Presentation

Tue 30 Oct 2012 19.30

The Salomon Prize is awarded annually to an individual orchestral musician who has shown commitment and dedication above and beyond the expected service asked by their orchestra. Named after renowned violinist Johann Peter Salomon, one of the founding members of the Philharmonic Society in 1813, the first £1000 Salomon Prize was awarded last year to Hallé double bassist Beatrice Schirmer. The presentation to this year's winner will take place during a concert on 30 October - watch this space for more details.
