'For classical music, it's the Oscars, the BAFTAs and the Grammys all rolled into one' BBC Radio 3
We warmly welcome you to join us for the Royal Philharmonic Society Awards: a night of celebration with special guests, inspirational stories, and live music. While the occasion brings together lots of people from across the classical music profession, it's equally for the music-loving public, giving you the chance to make discoveries, meet unsung heroes of classical music from across the UK, and rub shoulders with the stars.
Since 2021, we have presented the RPS Awards in a refreshed and open format, with a vastly-reduced ticket price giving more music-lovers and music-makers than ever before the opportunity to get together and feel part of the festivities. Given the national story they tell, our most recent RPS Awards took place in Birmingham (March 2025) and Manchester (March 2024), and we are set to return to the Queen Elizabeth Hall at the Southbank Centre in London on Thursday 12 March 2026.
An uplifting night of fun and festivity awaits, with star guests and surprise musical acts. This year's event is hosted by BBC Radio 3 presenters Georgia Mann and Petroc Trelawny. Foyer bars will be open till late and, as ever, guests are invited to dress 'celebratory'.
This event will feature live BSL (British Sign Language) interpretation.
The event includes a 20-minute interval and is expected to end before 10.00pm.
Booking is now open with tickets from just £10 (plus venue restoration levy and booking fee) available through the Southbank Centre website: click the button below for a direct link.
Please note, for all events at the Southbank Centre, the venue adds its restoration levy of £2 per ticket plus a booking fee of £3.50 per booking. Given this, we have aimed to keep ticket prices as low as we reasonably can, and are also pleased to introduce a discount for group bookings:
We warmly welcome you to bring music-loving friends and colleagues, and are pleased to announce a special group discount offer that gives you 25% off when you book 5 or more tickets.
To activate the discount, follow these steps:
1. Click the button below or this link to visit the RPS Awards page on Southbank Centre’s website.
2. Once there, click the blue ‘Dates and tickets’ button.
3. On the next screen, before selecting your seats, where it says ‘Promo code’ in the top right corner, type RPSGROUP and click ‘Submit’.
4. Once you have done that, proceed to select your seats. Clicking on each seat will open a drop-down menu and, for each seat, ensure you select ‘Promo GROUP’ from this. Initially this will show the seat’s full price, but once you have done this for 5 or more seats, click the blue ‘Add to basket’ button in the bottom right corner, and the discount will activate.
5. On the next screen, in the ‘Shopping basket’, you will see the 25% discount has been applied, and you can proceed to buy the tickets at that reduced price.
Alternatively, you can call the venue’s box office on 020 3879 9555, and quote the discount group ‘RPSGROUP’ to get the 25% discount on 5 or more tickets there.
