Amber Martyniak

RPS Instrument Purchase Grant 2025 | £825 towards a trombone

Amber Martyniak is a trombonist from Preston, Lancashire. She performed with Lancashire Youth Brass Band, as principal trombone, and in 2023 became a band representative, supporting the group during her final two years. In 2024, Amber was honoured with the Malcolm Doley Award by the Lancashire Schools Symphony Orchestra, recognising her contributions to music across the Lancashire ensembles. 

She now studies trombone at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with Antony Howe, where she continues to develop her playing and musical knowledge. Amber is also a member of Royal Birmingham Conservatoire’s Quintus Brass, allowing her to explore chamber music and perform regularly with fellow students.
