Ash is a flautist studying at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD) with Jonathan Burgess. Ash grew up in Sheffield, where they first got involved with classical music, and played as a member of the City of Sheffield Youth Orchestra from 2023 to 2026. 

Originally studying as a violinist, they later taught themselves to play flute and quickly found a passion for it. Ash is also passionate about chamber music, regularly performing with their harp and flute duet, as well as playing as part of the RWCMD Sinfonia and Cardiff Chamber Orchestra. On top of their career in classical music, Ash regularly plays folk music with the RWCMD Folk Society.
