Asha began playing clarinet aged five, and now studies with Fraser Langton at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM). She previously studied at the Junior RNCM for eight years with Helen Blamey, which included many performance opportunities, including chamber music, solo performances, and as principal clarinet for both the JRNCM Chamber Orchestra and Sinfonia. She was also awarded the John Wray Prize for Outstanding Contribution to the JRNCM. 

At the RNCM Asha has received tuition from acclaimed clarinettists such as Professor Fan Lei, Sergio Castello Lopez and Gabor Varga. She is a member of the Kroll Trio with friends, performing works such as Bruch’s Eight Pieces for Clarinet, Viola and Piano, and Beethoven’s clarinet trios.
