Darcie Tanner

RPS Instrument Purchase Grant 2025 | £600 towards an accordion

Darcie Tanner is an Actor Musician, studying at Leeds Conservatoire. A singer and multi-instrumentalist, she plays piano, guitar, bass and accordion. Darcie is from Brighton and grew up in Leicestershire, and has been part of music and performing groups since the age of four. She has trained at the Curve Theatre Leicester and at Northampton Music and Performing Arts Trust, giving her opportunities to go on tour and perform. She has also performed at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and Cadogan Hall in London.

Alongside music, Darcie is an extremely passionate actor and writer who is hoping to take her own show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival next year. With the opportunity that RPS has given, she is able to now take her own accordion to perform at the Fringe.

Darcie is grateful to the Royal Philharmonic Society for the grant and recognition they have provided, enabling her to continue performing the accordion in a contemporary field.
