Deadiamante Alfano is a saxophonist studying at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She began playing saxophone when she was nine years old, receiving her first musical education in a Ukrainian school of arts where she studied for six years. During those years Dea took part in many Ukrainian music competitions, achieving prize-winning places. She then entered a music college in Ukraine, where she studied for four years, developing her skills through additional lessons in conducting, harmony, pedagogy and piano, as well as gaining further experience in symphony and wind orchestras.

Having made the move from Ukraine to Wales, she is now an undergraduate at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. During her first year she has gained musical experience collaborating with tutors and students from different courses and specializations. She is also involved in several ensembles including a quartet and saxophone choir.
