Isabella Rose is a cellist studying at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She is a scholarship-winning student, and studies with Sandy Bartai. She began learning the cello at the age of ten, with the support of Southampton Music Services, who generously funded her lessons and ensemble fees through a music award. She has since performed as a member of many ensembles, including Hampshire County Youth Orchestra, Southampton Pops Orchestra, and as principal cellist with Southampton Youth Orchestra.

As a soloist with Southampton Youth Orchestra, she has performed Haydn Cello Concerto in C, one of her greatest achievements during her musical career so far. Other memorable musical projects include playing the cello solos in Rimsky Korsakov’s Scheherazade and in musical theatre productions such as Beauty and the Beast, The Addams Family, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. She is looking forward to continuing her studies and developing her musical career.
