Isla is a saxophonist studying at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM). Isla thrives in an array of musical endeavours, incorporating numerous genres and instruments into her performance and composition projects. She has studied both jazz and classical saxophone, and as a member of the Junior RNCM from 2024 to 2025, she was appointed the lead alto saxophonist of their big band. Elsewhere, she has performed and improvised at Lancaster Jazz Festival, as well as in several jazz jams and pub gigs. In 2023, Isla was shortlisted in The ORA Singers Young Composers' Programme, and consequently undertook a course in writing choral music. She has continued to explore her love of composition through songwriting, making use of her years of experience playing piano and drums.

Isla performed in the pit band for two musicals at her sixth form: Beauty and the Beast and Chicago, and placed first in her school’s Young Musician of the Year competition in 2025, playing classical saxophone. Breaking into the professional world of music, Isla has delighted in teaching her first saxophone students in Cumbria, where she grew up.
