

RPS Instrument Purchase Grant 2025 | £750 towards a violin bow
Kenza Stamselberg is a violinist at the Royal College of Music, where studies with Professor Radu Blidar. She previously trained at the Junior Guildhall and the Yehudi Menuhin School, working with Boris Kucharsky and Ning Kam.
A keen chamber musician, Kenza has collaborated with renowned artists including Natalia Lomeiko, Dinara Klinton, Sally Beamish, the Maxwell Quartet and the Sacconi Quartet. She has also worked closely with Tobias Feldmann, Paul Coker, Eszther Haffner and Violeta Smailovic-Huart. Kenza has participated in the summer academies of the Mozarteum in Salzburg and the Budapest Festival Academy, and has performed at festivals including Mendelssohn on Mull and the Sacconi Festival. She performs regularly with the St James Chamber Orchestra and the Odyssey Festival Orchestra, and was previously concertmaster of the National Children’s Orchestra.
Kenza is grateful to the Royal Philharmonic Society Instrument Purchase Grant which has enabled her to purchase a Brazilian bow by T Siqueira. She is also supported by the Albert Cooper Trust and Talent Unlimited, and plays on a 1928 Leandro Bisiach violin generously loaned by the Beare’s International Violin Society.
