Markos Hayes is a clarinettist at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where he is studying with Yann Ghiro, principal clarinet of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.

Growing up in Nicosia, Cyprus, Markos was a member of the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, performing a wide range of repertoire both across Cyprus and abroad, including not only symphonic concerts, but also at state and charity events. Whilst studying at the Music School in Nicosia, he was commended for his outstanding performance and awarded the highest grade in the class for both clarinet and piano.
