Tristan is a British-Chinese classical saxophonist and clarinettist, studying with scholarship at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Christian Forshaw and Joy Farrall.

He’s performed at venues including the Bridgewater Hall, The Roundhouse, Milton Court Concert Hall, and Beit Hall. Tristan gave the world premiere of Frey Lawler’s Yellow Boredom soprano saxophone concerto, and has also performed with soloist Jess Gillam and Guildhall Saxophone Ensemble, playing his own arrangement of Itturalde’s Pequeña Czarda. He’s premiered several new works for the Guildhall New Music Society and performed with the National Youth Orchestra. Tristan is a founding member of the Public House Quartet, and with them gave the first performance of Frey Lawler’s 3 Raids at Crowborough Shop.

As a composer, Tristan has written for the ORA singers and Contemporary Music for All, with his work David’s Grief performed at the Three Choirs festival. Tristan is grateful for the support of a Guildhall School scholarship and a Young Sounds award.
