Emma Taylor is going into her second year at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire studying the orchestral percussion course. She grew up in Telford and was brought into the world of music through the In Harmony Programme that collaborated with her primary school, Old Park Primary. Emma was a member of the National Youth
Orchestra in 2022-2023 and studied at the RBC's Junior Conservatoire leading up to university, meeting many aspiring musicians like her along the way.

During her time at university, Emma has earned leadership roles like Associate Principal Percussionist in the Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra come September, and Principal Percussionist for the university brass band for two semesters. She has also been given opportunities to perform in operas, wind orchestras, university brass competitions, percussion ensembles, and so much more during her time at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
