Double bassist Ros Mandan is a second-year undergraduate studying with esteemed teachers Tom Goodman, Graham Mitchell and Dominic Seldis at the Royal Academy of Music. Growing up close to Oslo, Ros picked up the double bass at 13. What began as a hobby quickly became a consuming passion, and she is now pursuing a professional career.

Ros has been a part of the Norwegian National Youth Symphony Orchestra since 2022, touring across Europe, notably performing in Konzerthaus Berlin at the Young Euro Classic in 2023. Before her current studies, she studied at the Junior Conservatoire at the Norwegian Academy of Music from 2021 to 2023, where she also led the bass section. During this time, she received multiple grants, including one from Lions Clubs International.
