

RPS Instrumental Prizes
RPS Instrumental Prizes – the RPS Emily Anderson Violin Prize, RPS Philip Jones Brass Prize, and RPS Henderson Chamber Ensemble Award – support the development of outstanding young musicians establishing their careers.

RPS HENDERSON CHAMBER ENSEMBLE AWARD
A prize of £5,000 for UK-based chamber ensembles establishing a career together. Groups should comprise 3 to 10 performers based in the UK, in any combination of string, wind, brass, keyboard or percussion instruments, with the majority of players aged 18 to 30.
RPS EMILY ANDERSON VIOLIN PRIZE
A prize of £1,500 for an outstanding solo violinist to support their development. Open to candidates of any nationality based in the UK, aged 18 to 30.
RPS PHILIP JONES BRASS PRIZE
A prize of £1,500 for an outstanding individual brass player, or £2,500 for a brass ensemble of up to 5 players, establishing their career. Open to candidates of any nationality based in the UK, aged 18 to 30.
HOW TO APPLY
We ask applicants to submit recent footage of their playing and answer some brief questions. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to a friendly audition which is scheduled to take place on Sunday 30 November 2025.
