Applications for the annual RPS Composition Prizes will close at 5pm on Thursday 31 March.
The RPS offers winning composers a commission for either £3,000 or £1,000 pounds plus a professional performance, as well as opportunities to participate in workshops and seminars.
Previous prizes have included commissions for the Music of Today series with the Philharmonia's Young Composers Academy (in partnership with the RPS), as well as commissions for Cheltenham Music Festival, supported by the Susan Bradshaw Composers’ Fund set up in memory of the pianist, teacher and writer after her death in January 2005.
The Prize is open to composers currently studying at a UK university/conservatoire OR who have completed a first degree or master’s degree since 31 March 2008.
