Two of the UK’s most-loved conductors share their insights and passions.
You rarely see two conductors in the same place at once, generally occupying the concert podium alone. What happens when they meet? We bring together two of the UK’s most-loved and accomplished conductors to talk to one another about their shared passions, their craft, and their hopes and concerns for classical music after an extraordinary year. Edward Gardner this season begins his exciting tenure as Principal Conductor of the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Martyn Brabbins, shortlisted for the 2020 RPS Conductor Award, is Music Director of English National Opera, a role that Edward himself previously held. Join us and them for an insightful encounter, sure to resound with intrigue and anecdote.
For everyone’s comfort, we are limiting capacity for these Autumn events. We continue to follow government guidelines closely. Hand sanitiser will be provided for guests to use if they wish on arrival. While it is not compulsory, we also invite guests to wear masks on arrival and when moving around the building, removing these if they so wish while seated for the event.
