In June, Scotland’s Maxwell Quartet will set to work with pianist Christopher Glynn on Elgar’s Piano Quintet, which they’ll then performed together in July at Yorkshire’s Ryedale Festival, where Christopher is Artistic Director. You can be in the room as they strike their very first notes together. RPS Members will then have the chance to continue the journey with them as they delve into the work’s themes and origins in a specially-shared digital conversation, then in July you can watch an exclusive stream of their actual performance. It’s a unique chance not only to follow the artistic process but also familiarise yourself with a great British chamber work, written later in Elgar’s life alongside the mighty Cello Concerto.

This event is free to attend but tickets must be booked in advance. RPS Members have priority booking. Each person may book up to two tickets for this event through this page from the dates below:
