A new collaboration from Devon Bonelli and Kevin Turner comes to the stage, supported by the RPS Drummond Lockyer Fund for Dance.
Be among the first to experience a new dance work, Flowers in Battle – composed by Devon Bonelli and choreographed by Kevin Turner – supported by the RPS Drummond Lockyer Fund for Dance. A fusion of dance, electronics, and live music, this multidisciplinary event brings performance to life with dancers from Company Chameleon alongside musicians from the Royal Northern College of Music.
Flowers in Battle is a powerful culmination of the RNCM’s Dance:Music programme, which works to bring musicians directly into the movement language, while integrating dancers into the sonic creation. Blending movement, sound, and technology, the evening's programme pushes the boundaries, and includes another piece by Devon, sertraline daydream, as well as Steve Reich's groundbreaking Different Trains, and Anna Meredith’s sweeping, swarming Tuggemo.

The RPS Drummond Lockyer Fund for Dance was established in 2007 in memory of the writer, broadcaster and lifelong dance aficionado Sir John Drummond CBE, by John’s long term partner Bob Lockyer OBE, himself a major force in British dance for decades, who sadly died in 2022. In the years since, it has supported a range of collaborations between composers and choreographers, as detailed here on our website.
