Trio by Hunter Coblentz
- an RPS Composition Prize commission - will receive its world premiere by Fidelio Trio at the Cheltenham Music Festival
on 15 July. Hunter Coblentz was one of six winners of the 2015 RPS Composition Prizes
, and was subsequently commissioned to write this piece for the Festival.
Alongside 'Trio' comes a new Beyond Borders-funded collaboration between Belfast residents Sinéad Morrissey and Piers Hellawell. The poetic sequence of 2014 T.S. Eliot Prize-winner Morrissey muses on the theme of migration, borders and sanctuary, and develops the poetic transfiguration in Schoenberg’s Verklärte Nacht.
