Leith Hill Music Festival: Come and Sing – Hearts and Voices

St Martin's Church, Dorking, RH4 1UT

Join Leith Hill Music Festival for a day of song in aid of Cardiac Risk in the Young

Our friends and RPS Corporate Members Leith Hill Music Festival invite you to join them for a day singing together in memory of Clarissa Nicholls.

In memory of her daughter, Clarissa, friend of Leith Hill Music Festival Hilary Nicholls has commissioned three renowned composers - Cecilia McDowall, Joanna Forbes L’Estrange and Joanna Gill - to each compose a piece reflecting on different stages of Clarissa’s life. The pieces sit together in a triptych, and the day will focus on learning these, led by Festival Conductor Neil Ferris, with additional direction from the composers themselves who will each be there on the day. They will also be singing The Promise, the newest choral work by Will Todd. All music will be provided.

This unique event – an opportunity to sing works by four living composers – is a collaboration to deliver a project between Leith Hill Music Festival and Cardiac Risk in The Young. All proceeds from the day will be split equally between the two charities.

Registration is from 9.30am, with singing between 10am-4pm, and the day will culminate with an informal performance. Friends and family are welcome to come along at 4.00pm to hear the performance - please purchase a £10 audience ticket.
