Nicola Benedetti

Tue 05 Nov 2019, 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School, Donegal Street, London N1

The RPS revives its longstanding tradition of newsworthy speeches by celebrated musical figures.

We have a musical heritage of which we should all be proud - but much has been said lately of Britain’s dwindling music education, and the dire consequences for our nation’s spirit if we let it fade. As she establishes a new foundation set to inspire and support young people nationwide, one of our most-loved classical artists Nicola Benedetti CBE makes a headline speech for the RPS on why music education matters, and she welcomes to the stage some of the inspirational young musicians she has met on her travels around the UK.

This is an early evening event – time to be confirmed shortly.
