Hear Oliver Leith's new solo cello piece commissioned by the RPS, performed by Anastasia Kobekina at Wigmore Hall.
A new work for solo cello by Oliver Leith, commissioned by the RPS, will receive it's first performance at Wigmore Hall, as part of lunchtime concert performed by Anastasia Kobekina.
Anastasia Kobekina, prize-winner at the 2019 International Tchaikovsky Competition, has thrilled audiences worldwide with her stunning virtuosity and arresting programmes of original compositions and transcriptions. The premiere of The Folly at Dirge Hill by Ivor Novello Award-winning composer Oliver Leith is framed by two of Bach's iconic cello suites, music by Abbess Hildegard, and Joseph Marie Clément Dall'Abaco’s hypnotic C minor Capriccio.
