Oxford Piano Festival 2026

Set in the scenic campus of St Hilda’s College, Oxford Piano Festival dedicates nine days to inspire, support and encourage music-making at the piano of the highest quality, with masterclasses, workshops and evening performances by renowned pianists.

Hosted by RPS Advance Corporate Member Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra, the 2026 Oxford Piano Festival promises an in-depth exploration of the piano with a dazzling line-up of performers. 

The programme in this year’s Festival features works in the piano literature that are rich in conveying the power of music and its ability to speak to us all through the instrument. Internationally renowned pianists, will be exploring music of various styles and periods, each with their distinct voices. Perfomers include: Steven Osborne and Paul Lewis, exploring music of the First Viennese School; Argentinian pianist Ingrid Fliter with an all-Chopin programme; Richard Goode, on a journey of musical discovery exploring central European repertoire across the centuries; Isata Kanneh-Mason, bringing fresh perspectives and introducing new audiences to classical music; Elisabeth Leonskaja, who unlocking the wisdoms of Schubert’s late piano music; and Theodosia Ntokou in a performance of Grieg’s iconic concerto with the Oxford Philharmonic in the Sheldonian Theatre.

As well as experiencing these wonderful performers in recital, the masterclass programme offers young pianists the opportunity to learn from the wisdom of greats of the piano world and audiences the chance to hear up-and-coming pianists in the Participants’ Recital.
