Our friends and RPS Corporate Members Reigate and Redhill Choral Society host a day of workshops exploring Handel's Messiah, led by Carris Jones and Cole Bendall. A chance to learn choruses from Messiah while developing vocal technique with these two leading choral figures, the day will conclude with a sing-through of some well-known choruses. 

Carris Jones is Vocal Coach to the BBC Symphony Chorus and Head of Creative Programmes at the National Youth Choir. The first ever female Alto Vicar Choral
at St Paul’s Cathedral, London, she was instrumental in the formation of the newly established Girls’ Voices programme at the Cathedral.

Cole Bendall is the Music Director of Reigate & Redhill Choral Society, Woking Choral Society, and Holmbury St Mary Choral Society. He recently conducted the
Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir as part of the European Choral Association Leading Voices Festival at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, and has worked with Rundfunkchor Berlin, New Dublin Voices and the Turkish State Choir. 

Music is available to hire for £2.50, and tea, coffee, biscuits and cake are provided.

Workshop participants are welcome to join the choir for their concert performing the oratorio at the historic 12th Century church at St. Mary's, Reigate, on 15 November. The choir will be joined by Surrey Pro Musica Orchestra and soloists generously supported by the Josephine Baker Trust.
