Our friends and RPS Corporate Member Reigate and Redhill Choral Society present a programme centered around Spirituals and Folk Songs, for our Summer Concert.

As well as Voice on the Wind by Sarah Quartel, whose A Winter Day was very well received at their Christmas concert last December, they'll perform the world premiere of the SATB version of Indigo by Shruthi Rajasekar, a US-American composer of South Asian descent – previously only available for mens' voices – commissioned by the choir jointly with Southampton Philharmonic Choir, alongside support from Cole Bendall. The concert is conducted by our Music Director Cole Bendall, features Scottish mezzo-soprano Ellen Smith, and is accompanied by Matthew Rickard.

Refreshments, including Pimm's, Strawberries & Cream, will be available in the interval.

With this concert, Reigate and Redhill Choral Society will be supporting The Orpheus Centre, a local charity supporting young disabled adults to build independent, fulfilling lives through the performing and creative arts.
